Esteban Jácome primarily uses acrylic paint and markers on canvas to perpetuate the natural human emotions that are part of everyday life.
b. 1995 in Guayaquil, Ecuador
Esteban Jácome is an architect and an artist. In the year 2020 Esteban makes a self-portrait after leaving the psychologist and discovers with his paintings that his artistic trend leaned towards the social and psychological backgrounds that we humans have lived through for decades, and that we continue to keep silent.
Esteban improves the space and disregards the frame. His thick lines and layers of colors shake off the emotional field; they open our consciousness and pose connections to our existence. It is a volatile and restless work. He is frank regarding human behavior and draws and paints life’s proper automatism: the current one, his own, the labeled one.
Jácome goes back to the start, to crayon, to the imperfection of the subject. Mental health, the psychological and the transformation of a picture into a livable place are essential concerns in his work. He uses mostly acrylic paint and markers on canvas to perpetuate natural human emotions that are a part of daily life.
